Why I'm not furious about this fast approaching film

A lot of people don't expect me to be a huge fan of the Fast and Furious series, but I'm proud to report that I'm a total junkie for 'em. When finally saw the onscreen chemistry between Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in the very first one, I was blown away. The cynic in me was ready to break down the plot as nonsense (let's face it, most action movies lack a good storyline), but honestly I found that the story took the front seat, as it were. The rich characters vibrated with such intensity that they seemed every bit as fast and as furious as their mechanical counterparts.

Finally, eight years after the original, we fans are going to get a tour de force in the form of the return of the original cast. The new trailer looks fantastic--lots of thrills but clearly a return to the tight writing and well-structured plot that made the first film an instant classic.

I'm pumped with all cylinders firing. Who knows, I might even shave my head for the midnight premiere to make my Dominic Toretto costume complete.

Oh, and don't forget the new trailer, which features Soulja Boy's hit single, "Crank Dat." Again, the cynic in me wanted to find fault with this. But for some reason I think it totally fits. I just can't be pessimistic about this!

I was so impressed at just how fast that tow truck could spin around and reverse to hitch the "land train."
